Director of Engineering - Biotech Manufacturing - Remote

Overview

The Director, Engineering & Facility will play a critical role in overseeing all of the engineering aspects supporting Biotech facilities and manufacturing operations in New Jersey.

• Plan, manage, organize, and harmonize engineering activities and capital investments.
• Coordinate site investment for projects including facilities and equipment.
• Lead the Reliability Engineering / Maintenance Team’s preventive maintenance efforts.
• Support site leadership in engineering activities and site improvement initiatives.
• Supervise plant-wide qualification, validation, calibration, and maintenance plans.
• Oversee design and construction of innovative devices, including bioreactors.
• Manage site engineering department and ensure project objectives are met.
• Establish technical standards and guidelines for project plans.
• Participate in energy conservation initiatives through engineering surveys.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and engineering programs.

Requirements

• 3-5 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• 7-10 years in pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with Aseptic Fill & Finish Operations and Biotechnology manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering field.
• Post-graduate business or project management qualification preferred.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Process Improvement qualification preferred.
• PE Certification is a plus.
