IT System Administrator - Remote

Overview

People Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and modernize enterprise infrastructure during ongoing data-center decommissioning and cloud-migration projects. The ideal candidate brings strong Windows Server, identity-management, and automation skills, plus experience across hybrid on-prem and cloud environments.

In Short

• 40 hours a week
• Start date: ASAP
• End date: 6 months with potential to extend
• Primarily remote or hybrid, with occasional on-site visits
• Administer 200+ Windows Servers
• Manage Active Directory and Azure AD
• Support cloud migrations and data center decommissioning
• Build and maintain monitoring dashboards
• Support AWS, Azure, or GCP workloads
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Requirements

• 5+ years in systems administration or infrastructure engineering
• Strong Windows Server and patch-automation experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Deep knowledge of Okta and Active Directory integration
• Experience with Linux, Nutanix, and Rubrik
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Preferred: Cloud-migration background and ITIL knowledge
