Overview

The Paid Memberships team at People Inc. is looking for a contract Copywriter to support copy on a new paid membership program. In this role, you'll write across the full subscriber lifecycle from acquisition landing pages and paywalls to upgrade prompts, promotional offers, and tier comparisons, creating copy that drives sign-ups, upgrades, and long-term engagement.

  • Tailor messaging to specific audience segments and lifecycle stages.
  • Develop and write A/B tests and refine copy based on performance data.
  • Translate complex value propositions into simple, persuasive language.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across every subscriber touchpoint.
  • 3+ years of copywriting experience, with at least 1 year in subscription products.
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimizing based on data.
  • Proven track record of writing discount promos and offer copy that converts.
  • Strong command of persuasive, conversion-focused copy.

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience, with at least 1 year specifically working on subscription products, membership programs, or recurring revenue businesses.
  • Proven ability to write across the subscriber lifecycle — acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Experience with A/B testing, optimizing based on data.
  • Proven track record of writing discount promos, tier comparisons, and offer copy that converts.
