Senior Character Artist - Remote

Overview

People Can Fly is seeking a Senior Character Artist to create and oversee the production of high-quality 3D characters that meet the company's artistic and technical standards. This role involves collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure the delivery of memorable characters while maintaining quality throughout the production process.

In Short

• Create industry-leading 3D characters that balance visual fidelity with gameplay needs.
• Collaborate with Art Directors to establish artistic vision.
• Mentor and support internal and external character artists.
• Work with Outsourcing and Production teams to integrate character assets on schedule.
• Oversee quality and consistency of character content.
• Contribute to documentation and best practices for the team.
• Research and adopt new techniques to improve character art quality.
• Integrate assets into the game engine and resolve challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a 3D Character Artist in the game industry.
• Experience shipping at least one AAA title.
• Strong foundation in traditional art principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, and Substance Painter.
• Understanding of game production workflows.
• Ability to solve artistic and technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for games and creative excellence.
