Senior Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Sr. Systems Engineer will be responsible for the public safety design and implementation of solutions for Motorola’s ASTRO 25 and adjacent technologies for State and Local government agencies, contributing to the safety of communities.

In Short

• Design and implement radio networks for public safety.
• Interact with customers for design reviews and acceptance testing.
• Conduct radio coverage testing and frequency analysis.
• Manage system buildout and configuration.
• Prepare system documentation and fleet maps.
• Perform live system upgrades and cutovers.
• Collaborate with project management and technical teams.
• Utilize RF engineering principles.
• Work with various networking protocols and devices.
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• 6+ years of engineering experience or 8+ years of technical experience.
• Knowledge of P25 Land Mobile Radio terminology.
• Experience with Motorola ASTRO 25 architecture is a plus.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXI, Linux, and Microsoft OS.
• Understanding of firewalls and routers.
• Experience in microwave systems and RF design.
• Certifications in networking are a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
