Azure Data Architect - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with a strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-scale Data Lakehouse architectures.

• Lead the design and implementation of Data Lakehouse architectures using Azure technologies.
• Develop and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Establish best practices for data governance and security.
• Manage version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
• Optimize performance of data pipelines and storage.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Prepare architectural documentation and conduct training sessions.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in data architecture.

Requirements

• 8+ years in data engineering/architecture.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Tables, Unity Catalog, and GitHub.
• Strong programming skills (Python, SQL, PySpark).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation.
• Solid understanding of data governance and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with Power BI or visualization tools is a plus.
