Sr. Tax Manager - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Senior Tax Manager to lead the Company’s efforts for ensuring compliance with International, federal, state, and local tax regulations. This is a new role to Payscale that will have the ability to shape the direction of the tax function as the Company continues to expand its operations domestically and globally.

In Short

• Prepare annual global income tax provision calculations and disclosures.
• Manage global income tax compliance and documentation of tax positions.
• Respond to and resolve tax inquiries and audits from various tax authorities.
• Ensure timely filings for sales/use tax, VAT, GST, and other gross receipts.
• Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate tax reporting in financial statements.
• Identify tax challenges and opportunities related to the company’s operations.
• Implement process improvements for the tax function.
• Provide guidance to accounting staff on tax-related reconciliations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation.
• Minimum of 7 years of tax experience, preferably in public and private sectors.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience working for a SaaS company is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and income tax laws.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various business groups.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Able to make objective recommendations and discern alternatives.
