Overview

The Talent Management & Development Specialist is responsible for supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, and performance management initiatives within the organization.

In Short

  • Full-time position reporting to the Director of Talent Management & Development.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to assess talent needs.
  • Ensure a positive talent acquisition experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Administer applicant tracking system and conduct phone screens.
  • Assist with employee training programs and activities.
  • Support the employee onboarding process and continuous professional development.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage HR-related documents.
  • Participate in recruitment activities and develop hiring plans.
  • Facilitate hiring manager recruitment sessions.
  • Commitment to ensuring all rural students succeed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, social sciences, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of related experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience working within rural communities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems.
  • Previous experience with applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Project management skills.
  • Capacity to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
