The Australian Indigenous Governance Institute (AIGI) is an Indigenous-led national centre specialising in governance knowledge and excellence. We support the economic, social, and cultural aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by connecting them with world-class governance practice, research, thought leadership and educational resources.

In Short

• Join AIGI as a Project Officer (Learning and Development).
• Support learning and development activities including training workshops and seminars.
• Manage logistics, sponsorship, and marketing for L&D activities.
• Review and report on L&D activities regularly.
• Maintain the L&D calendar and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks as directed by management.
• Work in a culturally sensitive manner with Indigenous communities.
• Demonstrate high-level organizational and time management skills.
• Be self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications or work experience in education, learning, and development.
• Experience working with Indigenous organisations and communities.
• Knowledge of Indigenous protocols and cultural sensitivities.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in facilitating training and event planning.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake interstate travel as required.
