Overview

As a Software Engineering II (GoLang) at PAR Technology Corporation, you will implement new features aligned with product goals, collaborating with engineers and architects in an Agile framework.

In Short

• Implement new features in a high-volume, highly available system.
• Collaborate with software engineers and architects.
• Work within a Service Oriented Architecture.
• Maintain and improve the current platform.
• Participate in on-call rotations approximately one week per month.
• 3 years of experience in concurrent programming with GoLang.
• Experience with backend API design and maintenance.
• Proficient in CI/CD and automated testing.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Requirements

• 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in service-based and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to write clean code and automated tests.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, and TypeScript is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in building cloud-native applications.
• Experience in the Restaurant or Retail POS space is an asset.
