Overview

The Revenue Cycle Manager, Denials Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the accounts receivable (AR) and denials management processes within the revenue cycle. This role ensures timely resolution of outstanding claims, minimizes revenue leakage, and enhances collection efficiency by implementing industry best practices.

In Short

  • Monitor and manage the AR aging report.
  • Implement strategies to reduce AR days and improve cash flow.
  • Identify trends and root causes of delayed payments.
  • Develop and implement processes to track and resolve denied claims.
  • Collaborate with payors to resolve denial issues.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for AR and denial metrics.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance revenue cycle processes.
  • Provide training and support to AR and billing teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits for billing accuracy.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and payor policies.
  • Experience with NextGen.
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle analytics and reporting tools.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams.
  • Knowledge of CMS, Medicare, Medicaid guidelines preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in healthcare revenue cycle management.
