Overview

Texas Sleep Medicine is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of the revenue cycle, from patient registration to final account resolution. This role ensures efficient billing, collections, and reimbursement processes while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The Revenue Cycle Manager will work closely with leadership, providers, and staff to improve revenue performance, reduce denials, and enhance financial outcomes for the practice.

In Short

  • Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including coding, billing, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and collections.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce claim denials, and improve cash flow.
  • Ensure adherence to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies, as well as HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
  • Analyze trends in claim denials and outstanding accounts receivable, developing corrective action plans to optimize collections.
  • Oversee patient billing procedures and ensure clear communication regarding financial responsibilities.
  • Generate and analyze revenue cycle reports, providing insights and recommendations to leadership on financial performance.
  • Train and supervise billing and coding staff, fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.
  • Work with the practice’s electronic health records (EHR) and billing systems to ensure seamless integration and accurate data management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management, preferably in a sleep medicine or specialty practice.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance payers, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and reimbursement policies.
  • Experience with EHR and practice management systems (experience with [insert specific system if applicable] is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively across departments.
