The Revenue Cycle Supervisor supports the revenue cycle department by monitoring day-to-day operations and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant billing and follow-up processes.

In Short

Monitor daily revenue cycle activities, ensuring claims are processed and followed up on in a timely manner.
Identify trends and assist in resolving issues that impact payments, denials, or workflow efficiency.
Support and guide staff in resolving account discrepancies and complex billing situations.
Work collaboratively with payors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve claim issues.
Track and report key performance metrics and assist in preparing team productivity reports.
Participate in the implementation of process improvements and the adoption of new tools or systems.
Train team members on department protocols, payer requirements, and system changes.
Conduct quality reviews to ensure billing and collections accuracy.
Stay informed about payer policy changes and communicate relevant updates to staff.
Provide regular coaching and feedback to team members to support growth and development.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of medical billing and collections processes.
Ability to analyze data and identify workflow or reimbursement trends.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines is preferred.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methods is a plus.
Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations.
Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role.
