Founded in 2020 by Instagram and Apple veterans, Palmstreet began as a plant identification app and quickly evolved into a trailblazer in live shopping, beginning with plant sellers. The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Product Designer to elevate the livestream-driven social commerce experience with a primary focus on improving the seller experience. To empower sellers' business growth, through our web-based seller dashboard and mobile App. You will work closely with product managers and other cross-functional partners to deeply understand seller needs and create user-centric solutions that simplify their daily workflows and empower sellers to scale their businesses.

This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in Canada. You will report to the Design Lead and collaborate with talented colleagues from around the globe.

Responsibilities

• Maintain direct communication with users to collect insights that inform design decisions, utilizing intuition to fill gaps and continuously produce comprehensive deliverables at every stage of the design process.
• Work autonomously on projects across all stages—from user research and wireframing to interactive prototypes and visual designs.
• Work closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to define and execute features, facilitating workshop and feedback sessions.
• Actively contribute to the visual identity of Palmstreet, ensuring consistency and coherence across various touch points such as our website, social media templates, and packaging.
• Enhance and contribute new patterns to Palmstreet’s Branch design system, maintaining scalable and consistent design across our product ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design experience at a product-focused tech company.
• Extensive experience with web and native mobile products.
• A strong portfolio showcasing excellence in product, user experience, and visual design.
• Ability to rapidly ideate and execute design concepts with top-notch craft.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills to articulate design decisions while balancing product and development constraints.
• Collaborative and ego-free, open to feedback and able to provide it constructively.

Bonus points for

• Experience designing for marketplace platforms.
• Additional skills in data visualization or copywriting.
• Experience working with a global team.

Your Location

Compensation (Canada)

• Pay Range: CA$90,000 - CA$130,000
• Stock options negotiable

This exercise is designed to assess your problem-solving approach, visual design skills, and ability to think through user experience challenges. It will not be Palmstreet-related and will focus on a neutral, product design scenario.
