Collections Officer (Remote)

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced B2B Collections Officer with strong Australian market experience to manage end-to-end credit control, debtor follow-ups, and payment resolution for business clients.

In Short

• Manage a portfolio of B2B customer accounts.
• Conduct daily outbound calls, emails, and reminders for overdue invoices.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes.
• Record all collection activities in CRM or accounting systems.
• Monitor client credit limits and payment behaviours.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams.
• Provide high-quality customer service while maintaining collection standards.
• Maintain updated debtor ageing summaries and weekly collection reports.
• Ensure adherence to Australian commercial collection guidelines.
• Identify process gaps and suggest improvements.

Requirements

• 2-5 years B2B collections / credit control experience in Australia.
• Strong understanding of Australian invoicing standards and debtor legislation.
• Experience working with high-volume AR in fast-paced environments.
• Confident phone manner with strong negotiation ability.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Preferred experience with trade accounts or service-based businesses.
• Familiarity with end-to-end AR processes.
• Prior experience in outsourced/remote AR environments.
