Electrical Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating shop drawings, performing lighting calculations, and producing comprehensive project documentation for electrical and communications projects.

• Experience in creating shop drawings and as-builts using Bluebeam.
• Proficiency in performing lighting calculations.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD for creating as-builts.
• Producing shop drawings including power and data layout.
• Creating project handover documents upon completion.
• Accurate tender take-offs.
• Designing efficient cable pathways.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in data centre environments and structured cabling systems.

Requirements

• Strong resource management skills.
• Proficient in network connectivity, copper, fibre optic, CCTV, and wireless access point installations.
• Telecommunications trade expertise; electrical experience is a plus.
• Experience in cost estimating is a nice to have.
• Proficient in using Simpro and CAD software.
