Overview

The Moderate Writer Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by writing political content and participating in team discussions.

In Short

• Write high-quality OpEds and Policy Proposals.

• Work remotely using Zoom and Slack.
• Commit until at least August 30th, 2025.
• Submit a writing sample with application.

• This is an unpaid internship.

Requirements

• Degree in Political Science, Journalism, or related fields preferred.
• Exceptional writing skills required.
• Proficient verbal communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in policy research or political commentary preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Google Workspace experience preferred.
• Must attend mandatory weekly meetings.
• Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
