Disability Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Disability Analyst will analyze, investigate, and assess disability claims while providing support and maintaining high service standards.

In Short

• Analyze and manage long-term disability (LTD) and life waiver claims.
• Understand and review contractual and medical information.
• Engage with stakeholders regarding claims and rehabilitation opportunities.
• Ensure accurate information and meet productivity goals.
• Provide education on LTD benefit processes.
• Represent OTIP in examinations of discovery as needed.
• Collaborate with Rehabilitation Consultants for member support.
• Work with Disability Benefits Coordinators for claim processing.
• Maintain confidentiality of claims information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in disability claims adjudication.
• Post-secondary education in health sciences or related field.
• CDMP certification is an asset.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and claims procedures.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• French language skills are a plus.
