Head of People Ops - Remote

Overview

Osano is hiring a Head of People Ops to design, lead, and evolve the next chapter of our People function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll be a strategic partner in shaping the company’s growth through our most important asset: our people. We’re looking for a hands-on, systems-minded leader who sees people as a strategic growth lever, someone who’s excited to build scalable programs, strengthen manager effectiveness, and create an environment where employees can do their best work.

In Short

• Design and implement scalable systems for performance management, learning, and manager development.
• Develop career pathing frameworks for internal mobility and skill growth.
• Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to ensure a strong, diverse talent pipeline.
• Act as a strategic partner on org design and talent strategy.
• Lead headcount planning and hiring operations in collaboration with Finance.
• Refine and manage People systems including compensation and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
• Foster an inclusive, high-trust culture across a remote-first team.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle with equity and engagement.
• Build continuous feedback loops for performance and culture improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years in a People Ops function.
• Deep knowledge of modern HR practices in compliance and performance management.
• Proven ability to scale People systems during growth.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to operationalize ideas.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
• Practical understanding of AI and automation in People Ops.
• Familiarity with tools like Justworks, CultureAmp, Greenhouse, and Slack.
• Track record of leading with trust and empathy in a remote environment.
