Finance and Accounting Analyst 3 - Remote

Overview

The Finance and Accounting Analyst 3 performs and leads complex accounting activities for OHSU Healthcare to ensure accurate recording and maintenance of financial records according to GAAP. This position is the lead accountant for the healthcare accounting section responsible for the annual OHSU and FQHC audits, the month-end and year-end accounting close, and for external and internal financial survey reporting.

In Short

• Leads the interim and year-end external audits for OHSU Healthcare.
• Prepares interim and year-end work papers and guides OHSU Finance through audits.
• Responsible for month-end and year-end accounting close processes.
• Prepares financial statements in final presentation form.
• Analyzes monthly Financial Statements and utilization reports.
• Prepares additional financial reports and presentations.
• Researches variances on financial statements.
• Processes daily validation of Epic Gross Patient revenue.
• Communicates with parties to resolve accounting issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience.
• Healthcare financial experience.
• Experience with federal and governmental agency healthcare surveys.
• Experience with annual financial audits.
