Business Intelligence Analyst - Remote

Overview

The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to provide and support technology and information services that enable OHSU to be a national leader in health and science innovation. The work of the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics (BIAA) Division ensures that the informational assets of the OHSU enterprise are leveraged to enhance financial, clinical, operational, and research decision-making.

This position functions as a Strategic Account BI Developer assigned to the Casey Eye Institute (CEI), supporting clinical analytics and operational reporting priorities under a collaborative MOU between CEI and BIAA.

Positioned at the confluence, where the business of patient care meets the need for insights and data driven decisions, this role provides the opportunity to use data analysis and development skills to improve the health and well-being of Oregonians and beyond.

In Short

• Develop BI solutions including reports and dashboards.
• Work with Microsoft Azure: PowerBI and Business Objects.
• Support Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models.
• Conduct business analysis and gather requirements.
• Provide production support and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior staff and lead projects.
• Ensure compliance with design reviews and coding standards.
• Facilitate training for customers on new solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Work collaboratively with various IT and clinical teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Four years of experience as a BI Developer.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Epic Clarity/Caboodle Certifications within 6 months of hire.
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with SDLC processes.
