Senior Defender Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Sr. Defender Engineer is responsible for post-sales product, service implementation, and service delivery in a fully remote capacity.

In Short

• Develop, test, and deploy actionable high fidelity XDR detections.
• Build and operate detection-as-code CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct code reviews and testing for high quality detections.
• Perform threat research and threat hunting to identify TTPs.
• Collaborate with Security Analysts to create triage and response playbooks.
• Work with SIEM architects to establish best practices for data parsing.
• Build and maintain utilities for the managed services team.
• Refer potential add-on sales opportunities to relevant teams.
• Maintain quality service by enforcing organization standards.
• Obtain and maintain vendor certifications.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• 4+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Knowledge of current cyber threats and detection methods.
• Advanced knowledge of Defender Suites.
• Experience with SIEM solutions like Splunk or Sentinel.
• Proven coding and scripting ability.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and/or AIX.
