Senior SRE Engineer - Remote

Overview

As our first SRE hire, we are seeking someone to build out Operant’s SRE roadmap and functions that help keep our platforms and services resilient and secure. If you are excited by the idea of being an early engineer at a startup that is poised to lead the next wave of application security products, we would love to hear from you.

In Short

• Build and lead the Devops/SRE functions for the company's product.
• Monitor products and services for availability, security, reliability, and scale.
• Document and codify best practices around operational behavior of services.
• Build the infrastructure that supports incident triaging, troubleshooting, and post mortems.
• Manage CI/CD infrastructure for dev, staging, and production environments.
• Maintain security best practices within code development.
• Track and perform tasks towards maintenance of annual SOC2 compliance controls.
• Create and communicate on-call schedules and processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering leaders.
• Adapt SRE practices quickly to scale with a fast-growing startup.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in an active hands-on SRE role.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Golang, and Python.
• Knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
