Head of Legal Operations - Remote

Overview

OpenLoop is looking for a Head of Legal Operations to join our team remotely or at HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will be responsible for optimizing the Legal department’s efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives through the use of Ironclad, data-driven insights, and process excellence.

In Short

• Lead the full lifecycle implementation, administration, and optimization of Ironclad.
• Serve as the Ironclad subject matter expert (SME) for the organization.
• Develop and execute scalable legal operations strategies.
• Implement and manage ticketing systems to streamline legal intake.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for Ironclad’s performance.
• Oversee and mentor team members supporting contracts management.
• Provide advanced analytics and dashboards within Ironclad.
• Manage departmental budgets and forecast legal spend.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 8+ years of in-house legal operations experience.
• Success in enterprise-wide Ironclad adoption.
• Experience with ticketing systems for legal request tracking.
• Experience in a scaling technology company.
• Strong background in legal technology strategy and automation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of contract law and compliance frameworks.
• Highly analytical and proactive problem solver.
