Overview

The Open Home Foundation is looking for a Frontend Engineer based in Europe to join our Home Assistant team. This team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Home Assistant frontend, supporting new functionality aligned with our roadmap, and enabling our community to contribute and innovate easily.

In Short

Conduct code reviews of pull requests from teammates and community.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams.
Continuously improve the frontend codebase.
Engage with the community to address user-reported issues.
3+ years of professional TypeScript development experience.
Experience developing and optimizing progressive web applications.
Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks.
Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
Professional fluency in English.
European residency required.

Requirements

Experience with Git and GitHub workflows.
Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
Affinity for open-source philosophy.
Experience with frontend testing frameworks.
Interest in smart home technology.
