Tax Analyst Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Indirect Tax Analyst to join our tax team. This role is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with indirect tax obligations, including sales and use tax, VAT/GST, telecom taxes, and other transaction-based taxes across multiple jurisdictions.

In Short

• Manage the full indirect tax compliance cycle.
• Collaborate with third-party service providers for accurate filing.
• Maintain and update tax codes in SureTax.
• Reconcile monthly indirect tax-related general ledger accounts.
• Manage tax exemption certificates.
• Support indirect tax audits and refund filings.
• Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Monitor changes in indirect tax legislation.
• Deliver tax insights and data analysis as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with over 5 years of experience.
• Proven background in indirect tax roles.
• Strong analytical and tax research skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Experience with NetSuite and SureTax.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
