Tax Accountant - Remote

Overview

Keeper Security is hiring an experienced Tax Accountant to support our Finance Team. This is a 100% remote position with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates in the Chicago, IL or El Dorado Hills, CA area.

• Join Keeper Security's Corporate Finance team as a Tax Accountant.
• Responsible for tax compliance, research, and reporting activities.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Prepare tax account reconciliations and propose journal entries.
• Assist in responding to tax audits and notices.
• Coordinate with external CPA firms regarding tax returns.
• Manage the tax provision process, including ASC 740 provisions.
• Work closely with tax and accounting teams for financial reporting.
• Identify efficiency improvements in the tax reporting process.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and proactive approach.
• Experience in tax compliance and reporting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Ability to prepare and file various tax returns.
• Familiarity with ASC 740 and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with tax audits and notices.

• Proficiency in tax-related software and tools.
• Experience in automation initiatives is a plus.
