Site Reliability Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Ooma, you will be part of an innovative team focused on delivering outstanding customer experiences through reliable and scalable systems.

In Short

• Become a subject matter expert in applications supporting Ooma customers.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and other SREs.
• Improve observability through application monitoring.
• Mentor team members on application management practices.
• Provide guidance during alerts and incidents.
• Write automation scripts and set up CI pipelines.
• Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Proven expertise in scripting with Python, Perl, and Bash.
• Database administration experience with MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Puppet.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP).
• Ability to lead technical projects from inception to completion.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, K8s, Gitlab CI/CD).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
