Product Development Technologist I - Remote

Overview

The Product Development Technologist will support the Product Development team in formulating new products, conducting sensory evaluations, and managing documentation related to product specifications and nutritional labeling.

In Short

• Support formulation development and optimization.
• Prepare benchtop prototypes and analyze them.
• Assist in consumer sensory testing.
• Maintain product specifications and documentation.
• Coordinate sample shipments and manage inventory.
• Ensure compliance with food safety policies.
• Work with Supply Chain to address sensory issues.
• Participate in co-manufacturer plant trials.
• Develop nutritional information for product labels.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
• 1+ years of product development experience preferred.
• Prior experience in sensory activities preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other professional platforms.
• Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and make strategic decisions.
• Up to 25% travel required.
