Junior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Junior Software Engineer will join the software development team in supporting content publishing by working with both engineering and content developers to get the content to the databases and environments for testing and production via CI/CD operations.

• Provide data support working within tight deadlines
• Development, administration, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
• Provide support to developers with query or DDL enhancements
• Communicates on project/task status clearly and effectively
• Develop and assist with database queries for content releases
• Technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Identify bottlenecks and improve workflow
• Resolve technical issues and analyze root causes
• Research new tools to improve existing processes
• Work with developers to establish best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of database development experience
• 3+ years of application developer and/or devops experience
• Works well with people in different timezones
• Hands-on experience with MySQL
• Strong communication skills
• Strong logical thinker
• Strong analytical skills
• Concise and clear written and verbal communications skills
• Extremely good with attention to detail
• Experience working with GIT
• Experience in Node.js is preferred
• Understanding of Microservice architecture
• A self starter and creative problem solver
