System Administrator II - Remote

Overview

The System Administrator II is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and related systems to support the O'Reilly computing environment.

In Short

• Install new software releases and system upgrades.
• Evaluate and install OS patches.
• Perform user account and group administration.
• Monitor server hardware and configuration.
• Provide level II help support assistance.
• Address issues in a timely manner through a ticketing system.
• Open support tickets with 3rd party vendors if needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of server administration experience.
• Ability to write technical documentation.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with a willingness to learn.
• Flexible schedule including nights/weekends.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (desired).
