Customer Quality Engineer (Technical Service Engineer) - Remote

Overview

The Customer Quality Engineer (Technical Service Engineer) at O-I will investigate quality-related issues with customers, sales, and manufacturing plants to resolve problems efficiently, ensuring the interests of both the company and the customer are maintained.

In Short

• Attend to customer quality product claims.
• Provide proactive service to anticipate customer needs.
• Assist with technical support during test runs and first runs.
• Link external customers with manufacturing plants.
• Identify areas for improving glass container functionality.
• Monitor re-select/repack crews as necessary.
• Maintain information in SAP.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Observe competitors for packaging improvement ideas.
• Provide information for effective communication between customer and organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.
• At least three years’ experience in a glass manufacturing plant.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Strong public relations skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
