Senior Network & System Administrator - Remote

Overview

The Senior Network and System Administrator manages and maintains CJA’s network and system infrastructure endpoints, onsite and Azure cloud servers, and services. This position is key in maintaining the stability and security of our IT infrastructure and involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing, and configuring hardware and software, and providing technical support and assistance to Agency staff.

In Short

• Manage Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Microsoft Dynamics, and Office 365.
• Administer Windows updates, patches, and security fixes.
• Install, configure, and maintain VMware environments.
• Automate tasks using PowerCLI, Python, or Ansible.
• Deploy and support Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
• Oversee Systems Management Appliance for network discovery and security policy enforcement.
• Manage compliance with Azure resources in commercial and government environments.
• Provide A/V setup and support for remote offices.
• Participate in on-call rotation and travel to other agency locations.
• Maintain IT support documentation and provide end-user training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in network/system administration or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and Microsoft Intune.
• Experience with ticketing systems and hardware/software inventory management.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA Security preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift/move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs).
