The Trauma Registrar is responsible for data abstraction, entry, injury identification, and coding for trauma patients within a verified Trauma Center.

Requirements

• Graduate of a minimum of a two-year college program preferred.
• Trauma-specific or HIM certification within three years of hire.
• Previous trauma registry experience preferred.
• ICD 10 CM/PCS coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical record procedures and medical terminology required.
• Basic anatomy knowledge is required.
• Computer data entry experience required.
