Overview

The Associate Software Quality Assurance / Testing Engineer is an entry-level role responsible for assisting with every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards, providing support in exploratory and automated testing to ensure product quality.

In Short

  • Supports planning, execution, reporting, and completion of QA activities for new development cycles.
  • Assists in Agile-related user story review meetings.
  • Works with business stakeholders to understand application functionality.
  • Designs and implements end-to-end test scenarios.
  • Supports the review of system requirements and quality assurance metrics.
  • Documents risk analysis and test progress.
  • Creates detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Develops and applies testing processes for new and existing products.
  • Supports established QA processes and best practices.
  • Performs other related tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Some expertise in software QA methodologies and tools.
  • Interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex systems.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and scripting.
  • Basic experience in Agile development (Scrum).
  • Familiarity with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
  • Basic hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Experience working within a geographically dispersed company is desirable.
