In Short

  • Translate diagnoses and procedures into codes using ICD and CPT systems.
  • Generate accurate claims for insurance companies.
  • Verify infusion documentation and charges.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide coding expertise.
  • Analyze clinical documentation for accurate charge capture.
  • Work remotely 2 days a week after onboarding.
  • Follow coding guidelines and conventions.
  • Utilize technical coding expertise for outpatient visit types.
  • Resolve inquiries from Revenue Cycle Departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Six months coding experience in oncology.
  • Two years of physician or hospital billing experience.
  • Thorough understanding of various insurance types.
  • Knowledge of ICD9, CPT, and chemotherapy billing.
  • Strong problem identification and analysis skills.
  • Above average data entry skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative work style with medical staff.
