The Ultrasound Technologist at Cooley Dickinson Hospital is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients across various demographics, ensuring exceptional patient care and service quality.

In Short

• Per Diem position reporting to the Ultrasound Supervisor.
• Perform imaging in abdominal, pelvic, head, and vascular areas.
• Conduct Doppler, trans-vaginal, and obstetric studies.
• Assist with cyst puncture or biopsy procedures.
• Review images with Radiologist and ensure high-quality output.
• Train others on Radiology Information System and PACS.
• Collaborate with other imaging modalities for patient care.
• Participate in quality control studies and gather improvement data.
• Maintain compliance with safety and departmental standards.
• Engage in professional growth through continuous education.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Radiology or relevant certification required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required.
• 1-3 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician preferred.
• Ability to interact with patients of all ages.
• Flexibility to work varying hours and on-call as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Radiology Information System and PACS.
• Commitment to maintaining professional standards and competencies.
