Join our team at the IHP as a Financial Aid Counselor, where you'll provide outstanding support and guidance to students and families, helping them navigate the financial aid process with confidence.

In Short

• Provide exceptional customer service to students regarding financial aid inquiries.
• Manage communications about financial aid information.
• Collaborate with admissions, registrar, and other offices to enhance student experience.
• Present financial aid information at key institute events.
• Stay current on federal financial aid policies and procedures.
• Create and edit financial aid communications.
• Assist in developing individual financing plans for students.
• Handle multiple priorities and tasks in a busy environment.
• Work under the direction of the Associate Director of Financial Aid.
• Participate in occasional travel to attend industry conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of federal financial aid procedures preferred.
• Experience with Colleague Financial Aid Module preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical skills in MS Word and Excel required.
