Overview

The NYISO’s Market Operations department is seeking a full-time Engineer to support Energy Market Operations and analyze market and reliability data.

In Short

• Support efficient administration of Energy Market Operations.
• Evaluate market and reliability data.
• Analyze Day-Ahead and Real-Time Energy Markets.
• Perform technical computer power flow simulation analysis.
• Conduct assessments for regulatory compliance.
• Identify trends and root causes of market inefficiencies.
• Provide reporting to various committees and management.
• Maintain data for transmission services.
• Collaborate with Operations Management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of three years of industry-related experience.
• Experience in statistical analysis and database mining preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Intermediate competency in MS Office and PSS/e.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
