Senior Software Engineer, Payments/Fintech - Remote

Overview

Versant is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our FinTech team and help design, build, and scale high-quality global software solutions that handle high-volume payment processing and fund distribution.

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable systems for processing payments.
• Ensure funds distribution happens on time and at scale.
• Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, and Product teams.
• Integrate with third-party payment processors and banks.
• Architect systems for auditability, security, and fault tolerance.
• Implement and improve automated reconciliation and reporting pipelines.
• Lead technical discussions on scalability and reliability.
• Drive process improvements in CI/CD and monitoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with payment processing systems.
• Deep understanding of databases and transactional integrity.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and queues.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards for payments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
