Director of Public Health Data Modernization - Remote

Overview

NNPHI seeks a Director of Public Health Data Modernization to provide strategic leadership, project management, and subject matter expertise for a growing portfolio of public health projects focused on advancing data modernization efforts.

In Short

• Lead NNPHI’s data modernization initiatives, providing technical expertise and strategic direction.
• Develop and manage project work plans and budgets related to priority data modernization efforts.
• Build relationships with funding organizations to secure project funding.
• Oversee the coordination and delivery of technical assistance for STLT recipients of the Public Health Infrastructure Grant.
• Lead the development and management of collaborations with partners and contractors.
• Represent NNPHI in national workgroups, meetings, and conferences.
• Direct teams that plan and host webinars and peer network meetings.
• Provide technical assistance to public health institutes and governmental agencies.
• Mentor and supervise Associate Directors, Analysts, and interns.
• Manage contracting processes, including RFP development and review.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in public health, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in governmental public health.
• Experience designing and delivering training and technical assistance.
• Strong knowledge of public health data infrastructure and interoperability standards.
• Proven experience in program management and budget oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead teams.
• Familiarity with software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and project management platforms.
