Overview

An established mortgage banker is seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join its team.

In Short

• Evaluate mortgage loan applications for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Analyze borrower financials, credit reports, and property appraisals.
• Assess risk and provide loan decisions with explanations.
• Collaborate with processors and loan officers to expedite the process.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

• Active DE is required; VA is a plus.
• Must have underwritten frontline new purchase loans within the past 3 years.
• Minimum 5 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of various mortgage products.
• Experience with Encompass strongly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

Benefits

• Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year.
• Paid overtime and monthly bonus up to $900/month.
