Underwriter - Remote

Overview

The Wholesale Underwriter is responsible for reviewing loan applications and property appraisals and evaluating the loans to minimize risk or loss. Ideal candidates will be experienced in underwriting conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.

In Short

• Review and evaluate loan applications for various loan types.
• Communicate with loan originators and processors regarding loan status.
• Maintain a pipeline of loans adhering to service level agreements.
• Stay current on loan program requirements and review documents for compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three years of mortgage underwriting experience required.
• Two years of underwriting FHA and VA loans required.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (RESPA, TILA, etc.).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Highly detail-oriented and able to work across organizational boundaries.
