Wholesale Non-QM Underwriter - Remote

Overview

The Wholesale Non-QM Underwriter reviews and underwrites Non-QM mortgage loan applications and property appraisals and evaluates the loans to minimize risk or loss within regulatory guidelines.

In Short

• Analyze and underwrite Non-QM mortgage loans within compliance guidelines.
• Manage loan conditions and provide recommendations for underwriting waivers.
• Communicate with loan originators regarding loan status and conditions.
• Maintain a pipeline of loans adhering to service level agreements.
• Remain current on loan program requirements and review documents for compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of mortgage underwriting experience required.
• Minimum of three years of underwriting Non-QM loans with complex income analysis.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (RESPA, TILA, etc.).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong decision-making skills.
• Understanding of Non-QM products.
