Tonto Program Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Tonto Program Coordinator will build partnerships and connections to support the development and implementation of conservation projects and programs on the Tonto National Forest in Arizona.

In Short

• Build relationships among the US Forest Service, NFF, and Arizona partners.
• Support NFF’s program of work on the Tonto National Forest.
• Develop scopes of work and budgets for restoration projects.
• Oversee procurement and contracting for projects.
• Provide field project oversight and ensure compliance with FS criteria.
• Expand the base of supporters by pursuing funding opportunities.
• Engage the public in conservation initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in conservation programming.
• Serve as a key contact for NFF activities on the Tonto National Forest.
• Manage administrative processes and project budgets.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in natural resources or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in conservation projects.
• Knowledge of FS policies and conservation practices.
• Understanding of Arizona natural resources issues.
• Commitment to environmental conservation.
