Kootenai National Forest Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Kootenai National Forest Coordinator will manage the development and implementation of fuels reduction projects on the Kootenai National Forest in northwestern Montana.

• Coordinate with the U.S. Forest Service and partners for fuel reduction projects.
• Oversee projects through their full life cycle.
• Lead advertisement, negotiation, and award of contracts.
• Work directly with contractors and partners for project implementation.
• Manage contracts, invoices, and budgets.
• Assist with georeferenced mapping and project specifications.
• Serve as the point of contact for project management needs.
• Communicate project work within the community.
• Solicit funds from various sources to support projects.
• Maintain knowledge of conservation trends and issues.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in forestry or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in conservation programs.
• Knowledge of U.S. Forest Service policies and regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to the mission of the NFF.
