Overview

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Reliability Specialist to join our Accreditation Team in the Early Learning Program. As a professional membership organization, NAEYC works to ensure high-quality early learning for every child, from birth through age 8, and supports educators, families, and early childhood professionals. The Reliability Specialist will play a key role in maintaining the quality and consistency of NAEYC's accreditation processes through assessment visits, data analysis, and training efforts.

In Short

  • Complete ~20 reliability visits per year according to a scheduled plan.
  • Act as a key contact for assessors during onsite visits.
  • Collaborate with the Reliability Coordinator to collect and analyze data.
  • Identify trends related to reliability for management decisions.
  • Coordinate training and mentorship for assessors.
  • Participate in onboarding and mentoring new assessors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in line with position needs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in child development or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in early childhood education.
  • Knowledge of NAEYC's accreditation process.
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Committed to NAEYC's mission and staying updated with research.
