Overview

mySociety is a small, purposeful charity which uses digital tools to help people to participate more fully in democracy, make governments and society more transparent and help people work together to address societal challenges. We’re looking for a Digital Service Manager who has experience managing complex, high-volume digital services.

In Short

  • Manage the day-to-day running of mySociety's online services.
  • Ensure user support and handle rights-based requests.
  • Provide front line support for complex priority issues.
  • Understand key legislation and implement related policies.
  • Work with a User Support Officer and volunteer team.
  • Contribute to ideas for service improvement.
  • Work in a fully remote, digital-first team.
  • Meet colleagues face-to-face quarterly.
  • Full-time position to start as soon as possible.
  • No recruiters or agencies, please.

Requirements

  • Experience managing complex digital services.
  • High understanding of GDPR and media law.
  • Passion for Freedom of Information.
  • Ability to manage user support and complex queries.
  • Proactive consultation skills.
  • Experience in risk management and governance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a remote team.
  • Hands-on and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in community moderation.
