Cloud Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

MyEyeDr. is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Security Cloud Engineer to join our IT Cyber Security team. The Cloud Security Engineer helps architect, deploy and operate a secure cloud application infrastructure that aligns with business needs. The position is responsible for supporting operational innovation and providing security direction to the business to elevate the company’s security posture within a cloud computing infrastructure.

In Short

• Develop and maintain secure, resilient enterprise-grade cloud processes.
• Secure business applications across public, private or hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Protect patient data and business applications in compliance with security frameworks.
• Conduct oversight of security systems and configuration administration.
• Document and enforce areas of security improvement.
• Act as a key figure in incident response and documentation.
• Attend technical project meetings as a security consultant.
• Monitor and recommend initiatives based on emerging threats.
• Manage remediation efforts after security assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, cybersecurity or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity with 3+ years in cloud platforms.
• Strong Windows and Linux platform security skills.
• Experience with security tools like IAM, SIEM, and EDR.
• Knowledge of cloud networking architecture and encryption.
• Experience securing a distributed enterprise environment.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements like HIPAA and PCI.
• Up-to-date understanding of incident response and vulnerability management.
• Strong communication and integrity in work.
