• Creating visually balanced and engaging page layouts for various publication formats.
• Sourcing and editing images to complement the written content.
• Choosing fonts that align with the publication's tone and style.
• Maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all pages and publications.
• Creating layouts for online publications and digital platforms.
• Mentoring junior designers and providing guidance on their work.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams at MUBI.
• Problem-solving independently and exploring new ideas for projects.

Requirements

• Contemporary design aesthetic with proven abilities in print and digital publishing.
• Working experience in editorial design.
• Confidence in expressing opinions and being collaborative.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Formal design education with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• Superb communication skills and managerial experience preferred.
• Professional proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience in publishing houses, magazines, or digital media companies.
• Understanding of graphics production techniques and print production.
